Scientific Advisor to Defence Minister V.K. Saraswat has said that all electronic air warfare systems will be indigenous in future and asked the Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL) here to be ready for meeting the requirements of the country.

Speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of DLRL here on Thursday, he lauded the laboratory for its achievements. He said that DLRL had contributed about 20 per cent of the Rs.1.6 lakh crore worth of product values the Defence Research and Development Organisation had achieved during the last one decade. DRDO would continue to support DLRL to ensure that it remained ahead in strategic field. Later, he gave away awards to scientists and mementoes to ex-directors of the organisation.
