GITAM and Burgundy School of Business sign MoU

The two institutions have done joint research work

VISAKHAPATNAM: GITAM University and the Burgundy School of Business, Dijon (France) will organise an international conference on microfinance and pre-service programme in pharmaceutical industry management.

This was decided during discussions GITAM University Vice-Chancellor G. Subramanyam, Pro V-C D. Harinarayana and Director of GITAM Institute of International Business V.K. Kumar had with International Director and Associate Dean of Burgundy School of Business Marie Jose Albert during the latter’s visit to the campus recently to discuss the ongoing collaborative programmes between the two institutions.

There were extensive discussions for extending the collaborative programmes. Prof. Marie Jose Albert appreciated the infrastructure facilities available at GITAM University. GITAM and the French institute have already entered into a MoU for student and faculty exchange programme and three batches of students from France participated in the programme offered by GIIB and one batch from here attended the programmes offered by the Burgundy School of Business, Prof. Kumar said. The second batch of students would leave here during February. The two institutions have presented a joint research work during an international conference on institution and technical environment for microfinance, held in New Delhi recently.

Prof. Subramanyam said that the Central Government was giving high priority to the microfinance sector and GITAM University would encourage research activity in this area. He hoped that both the institutions would strengthen the teaching and research activities in the field of international business.
