They belong to Pedana
Four persons belonging to Pedana town went missing in the sea at the Manginapudi beach in the Krishna district on Thursday evening after they went in for bathing. The police and the local fishermen conducted a search till night but could not find the bodies.
The search would be resumed on Friday morning in search of the missing persons, who were identified as Abdul Karimulla, 21 years, Abdul Nazeer, 22, Md. Saleem, 30 and Mehboob Basha, 21. While Saleem was stated to be an army person on leave, Basha was a student of engineering.
According to the police, a family of 15 persons and their friends came to the beach around noon and they started bathing in the shore at the Manginapudi. At around 4 p.m., they started leaving the beach to go back home but Saleem and Basha went in the sea for one last time. As they did not return, two others also went into the sea only to go missing.
When the other members of the family complained to the Manginapudi beach outpost police, a search was launched with the help of fishermen in the vicinity. They searched the beach till 7 p.m. but in vain. The search operations turned out to be difficult as the sea was rough due to inclement weather.
