The fort town recorded 41 degree Celsius, the season’s highest temperature so far, on Thursday forcing residents to remain indoors.
According to District Agriculture Advisory and Transfer of Technology Centre officials here, the temperatures are likely to rise further in the next two days and touch 43 degree Celsius. The temperature recorded on Wednesday was 40 degrees and on Tuesday, it was 38 degree Celsius.
In addition to unbearable scorching heat, unscheduled power cut made the lives of people miserable.
There was no power supply in parts of RTC Complex area from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., except 30-minute relief from 2 p.m. to 2.30 p.m., on Thursday.
