VISAKHAPATNAM: The Forest Rights Act 2006 must be implemented in its total spirit and all those having right over the forestland must be issued title deeds by June end, Principal Secretary to the Tribal Welfare Department V. Nagi Reddy told the officials concerned.

While an estimated eight lakh acres of forest land was under the control of Girijans and non-Girijans, only four lakhs had made claims over 6.30 lakh acres so far, Mr. Nagi Reddy said at a review meeting he held with officials of Revenue, Forest and Tribal Welfare departments here on Saturday.
