Inordinate delay alleged in restoration of communication and power

  • Official reaction to Kodipunjuvalasa tragedy, where 30 tribals died, slow
  • Landslip totally damaged crop and belongings of tribals
  • Fate of fishermen from Kakinada and Poodimadaka area still not known

    VISAKHAPATNAM: The relief provided by the Government to the flood-affected people in the district was meagre when compared to the major loss suffered, CPI(M) district secretary Ch. Narsinga Rao has said.

    He also faulted the loss announced by the Government and wants it to come out with full details.

    Addressing a press conference along with Andhra Pradesh Ryot Sangham district secretary A. Balakrishna and Araku ZPTC member Killo Surendra here on Tuesday, he said the official reaction to the tragedy at Kodipunjuvalasa, where 30 tribals were washed away, was slow.
