Sub-Collector Gandham Chandrudu has assured representatives of political parties in seven mandals of the Agency area that the final list of voters in the division will be published on Thursday.
Addressing a meeting of representatives of various political parties on the panchayat polls here on Wednesday, the Sub-Collector said that the administration was ready to conduct elections in 125 villages.
Polling stations would be arranged in each ward. He asked them to give their suggestions to incorporate in the list with the permission of the Election Commission.
Former MLA Seethamsetti Venkateswara Rao said that some of the polling stations in Gurthedu, Boduluru, and Bodlanka were located in far places and sought reorganisation of the polling stations. He also suggested displaying of voter list prominently in all panchayats and supply of the same to all political parties in Telugu.
Telugu Desam leaders Adabala Bapiraju, Madakam Bapanna Dora and M. Subrahmanyam from CPI(M) participated in the meeting.
At another review meeting, ITDA Project Officer C. Nagarani said that Revenue Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy would visit the Agency area on April 5.
She said that the Minister would reach B. Ramannapalem village and inaugurate protected water scheme constructed with Rs.10 lakhs. He would attend the inauguration and stone-laying ceremonies in K. Yerrampalem and Devaratigudem and address a revenue sadassu at Tamarapalli.
