Awareness on ‘No Tobacco Day’

The Indian Dental Association (IDA), in association with Government Dental College, Vijayawada, Siddhartha Dental College, Gannavaram and Walkers Club Association will organise an awareness programme against tobacco, in connection with ‘World No Tobacco Day’, on May 31. The programme would be conducted at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium at 7 a.m. and silent march would be organised from the stadium to Collector’s camp office, said IDA A.P. State Branch honourable secretary K. Ajay Benarji.

Workshop

A two-day workshop on ‘game development in unity 3D’ will be conducted at hotel Swarna Palace, on May 31 and June 1. Staff of Computer Science Engineering department of MVR College of Engineering and Technology are organising the programme. Students and staff of various institutions will attend the workshop, according to college principal K.V. Sambasiva Rao.

Campus selections

NRI Institute of Technology, in association with Hyderabad-based Knoah Solutions, will organise interview on NRI College campus, located at Pothavarappadu village, from 9 a.m. on June 1. Students who passed B. Tech, MCA and MBA are eligible, and there would be no registration fee. Candidates are requested to attend for interview with two passport size photographs and resume.

Curbs for DIET exam

The city police will impose Section. 144 (2) for DIET CET to be held on May 31. Test will be conducted in 40 centres under Suryaraopet, Machavaram, One and Two Town police station limits. People are requested not to move in groups at the examination centres and not to carry sticks or any other weapons. All the Photostat and internet centres should be closed around the centres, said the police.
