Forum for Better Visakha (FBV) on Wednesday said the damage control done by VANPIC after its website showed Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh as not part of India should not allow the company to go scot-free.
FBV convener E.A.S. Sarma, who lodged a complaint with the Central and State Governments on Tuesday against display of the two States in an objectionable manner on the website of VANPIC, said the company was trying to cover up its offence.
He said the Central and State Governments should book the promoters for displaying the illegal map. Despite the correction done, they were liable to be prosecuted for the offence already committed.
If any government agency tried to condone the offence, Mr. Sarma said he would be constrained to draw an adverse inference.
