  • Congress MP's letter causes flutter
  • Need for second SRC stressed

WARANGAL: Telangana Rashtra Samithi senior leader and Hanamkonda MP B. Vinod Kumar took strong objection to a letter addressed to all the MPs by Congress MP L. Rajagopal on separate Telangana issue. Mr Vinod Kumar alleged that the Congress MP had distorted the features of Fazal Ali Committee report and had been pointing out that there was no need for Second States Re-organisation Committee (SRC).

The TRS MP said that the Fazal Ali Committee only recommended that if the Assembly of Hyderabad agreed for a merger, it would be better to form into a Vishalandhra. But it was not

agreed and even before the formation of integrated Andhra Pradesh, the Nizam ruled-regions such as Dharwad, Bidar and others were separated.

Advising the Congress MP to have re-look at the Fazal Ali report, Mr Vinod Kumar asked him not to distort facts and mislead other MPs. "When all the Congress leaders are insisting for second SRC to decide the Telangana issue, why you are opposing it?, he questioned.
