A three-day ‘Jana Chaitanya Nirahara Deeksha’ seeking good governance will be launched by steering committee members of Surajya movement led by its convenor and Lok Satta president, Jayaprakash Narayan here on Wednesday.

The Surajya Movement, among others, is seeking institution of a strong and independent Lokayukta, enactment of law on citizen’s charters for government services, devolution of 10 per cent of State budget on local governments, quality healthcare and education to all.

Freedom fighter Ch. Rajeswara Rao, retired IAS officers, Kaki Madhava Rao, K. Padmanabhaiah, MLC, K. Nageshwar and senior citizens’ movement leader Chelikani Rao among others will participate in the three-day fast.
