Fake currency racket busted

The police arrested a gang which had been duping the public by promising them fake currency of higher value than the original currency here on Friday. The police recovered Rs. 10,000 from the gang. Deputy SP P. Ramakrishna and Two Town Inspector D. Muralidhar arrested the four-member gang. The arrested were identified as A. Kumar, Mustafa Baba, Sheik Ahmed of Kurnool and Venkatarama of Proddatur. The police registered a case.
