Government Whip T. Jayaprakash Reddy has urged Union Minister of State for Railways, Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy, to extend the MMTS railway line up to Sangareddy via Patancheru.

Mr. Jayapraksh Reddy met Mr. Suryaprakash Reddy in Delhi on Sunday and submitted a memorandum in this regard.

According to a release here, the Whip informed the Minister that Sangareddy was included in Hyderabad Metro Development Authority (HMDA).

Stating that providing rail connectivity would benefit employees and students of Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH), located at Kandi, employees of BHEL, ICRISAT and those in the industrial areas of Patancheru and Bollaram, Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy said that extension of the MMTS would boost industrial development in this area.
