The much-awaited The Hindu E-Plus Club Challenge-2014 Vijayawada regional finals will be organised at Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) on February 25 on its Nambur campus in Guntur district.

The event is being sponsored by Tata Docomo. The Grafx IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. will be the knowledge partner. The official website of the annual event (http://www.epluschallenge.

com) has been launched and a meeting with the participating college principals or representatives/E-Plus Coordinators will be held at the VVIT City Centre on Brodipet 4th Lane in Guntur on Saturday (February 15) at 11 a.m. Individual e-mails have been sent to the colleges having E-Plus Clubs running.

The State-level competition, The Hindu E-Plus Club Challenge, will be held in three regions -- Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. The Visakhapatnam regional final will be held on February 23 at MVGR College in Vizianagaram district. The State final will be held in Hyderabad on February 28. The five events are competitions for students testing their skills in group discussion, quiz, elocution, paper presentation, and creative performance — on the basis of various parameters.

Three top teams from the regional finals will compete at the State finals to be held in Hyderabad. Colleges need to register online on and registration of names can be made till February 21.

Each college team, consisting of 30 students (15 boys and 15 girls), need to participate in the five events and their performance assessed by judges, by awarding points. The total of these individual points will determine the top three winners of each region.


The participating college E-Plus Club coordinator should register in the website by clicking on the ‘Coordinator Login / Sign Up’ link and follow the on-screen instructions.

An e-mail will be sent to the registered e-mail ID with a verification code to the coordinator. They need to click on the link and enter the verification code for successful verification. After successful verification, the E-Plus Club coordinators must send an e-mail to to activate the account.

Students must follow instructions on the website for registration once coordinator is registered. Each student will be given a unique registration number, which he/she must carry to the event.
