VISAKHAPATNAM: A unified online public grievance redressal system ‘online spandana' was launched by Chairman and Managing Director of Eastern Power Distribution Company of AP Limited (APEPDCL) Ahmad Nadeem here on Saturday.
The online complaint redressal system would be able to register all complaints systematically and track their redressal.
The system would structure the various types of complaints like supply related, billing related and others, and enable better grievance redressal by duly assigning them to the departments concerned directly.
Mr. Nadeem said that this was one of the initiatives of the Discom to solve the various types of problems being faced by consumers of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts that fall under the purview of EPDCL. The system also has a provision of displaying the number of complaints in each circle and section.
A complaint ID number would be generated automatically as acknow- ledgement. The number would help the complainants to track and monitor the status of their complaint.
