Three-day entrepreneurship awareness camp inaugurated

An entrepreneur must make it a habit to think out of the box and be unique in his/her own way, said Y.V. Krishna Mohan, Managing Director of Surya Industries, on Wednesday.

He was addressing students of Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration at the inaugural session of a three-day entrepreneurship awareness camp (EAC), organised by the Department of Business Administration of Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (PVPSIT).

The event is sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Gujarat and the Department of Science and Technology. Mr. Krishna Mohan said presentation of the right B-plan could give impetus to one’s entrepreneurial journey.

Chief Executive Officer of Better Casting J.S.R.K. Prasad said that an entrepreneur must identify the gaps between the market and the society and bridge these gaps with the right ideas and help in creating wealth for self and for the society. Innovation was the key to success in this field, he emphasised.

Consultant, Small and Medium Enterprises, Guntur, D. Nagayya, spoke on the perspectives of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprise developments. He focussed on the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and the profile of a technopreneur, citing an example of the special incentives offered by the Government (additional concessions to women).

S. Krupakar Rao of Mudrica said entrepreneurship was a result of learning experiences of life.

Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education president N. Venkateswarlu presided over the session while Head of the MBA Department P. Adilakshmi, Principal P. Venkateswarlu and convenor B. Sriramulu among others who participated.
