Students who have taken admissions under the management quota in a few top engineering colleges in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam will be in trouble as the government has reportedly decided not to ratify their admissions for violation of admission norms.

After inspections in 90 engineering colleges the government issued show cause notices to 51 colleges seeking explanation on the violation of rules. Some of these include colleges in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Vijayawada sought after by the students.

The violations include not giving access of admissions to the aspirants, publishing notifications in ‘unknown’ newspapers, not displaying the merit list among others.

Sources said the State government decided not to ratify the admissions made by about 11 colleges.
