To support its global business units, Royal DSM, the science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials launched a shared services centre in the city on Tuesday. In next three years, the company plans to raise the employee strength here from 75 to 250.
Speaking to presspersons, DSM Chief Financial Officer, Rolf-Dieter Schwalb said the company would strive to improve efficiencies by streamlining processes and cost optimisation at the new captive centre. Bharath Sesha, president, DSM India, said India played an important role in the DSM strategy of expanding the company involvement in high growth economies. DSM India functions under the sectors of nutrition, pharma, performance materials such as resins and engineering plastics, polymer intermediates and innovation. The other focus areas were animal nutrition and health, human nutrition and health apart from bio-based products and services.
