To monitor progress of issues brought to his notice

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam-I MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao has assured people that he will monitor the action and progress on issues brought to his notice in the Prajapatham programme.

He told reporters here on Friday that he would take up the grievances addressed to the officials concerned and redress them.

Majority of the grievances that were represented to him in Prajapatham, organised from May 25 to June 8, related to drinking water, sanitation, roads and street lighting, the MLA said. Some of the complaints were addressed on the spot.

Fashion technology units

He announced that five more fashion technology centres would be launched in the constituency following a request by women.

Sewing machines would be provided to women taking up work on their own, he added.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that some wards in Municipal Corporation would be taken up as Indiramma wards and developed.

He complimented the officials for their hard work in Prajapatham programme and said that problems could be solved with people's participation and a pro active role by officials.

Coordination

Muralidhar Reddy, Additional Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, who was present said that officials would work together to address various problems faced by people.
