Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy could be exulting over the success of Rachchabanda programmes in the capital. But for Mayor B. Kartika Reddy it has left a bitter taste during both CM programmes. In the first one at Barkas, she was visibly shocked to notice that the Chief Minister had unveiled a ward development plan report brought forth by a co-opted member belonging to the Majlis of which she had no clue at all. That was a bigger insult than not being asked to address the crowd despite being the first citizen.

Later at Borabunda, she had to keep away from the event when it was brought to her notice that all the posters featuring her photo were removed because they also had a local Minister, D. Nagender, in them, a betenoir of the local MLA P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy.
