KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Roads and Buildings T. Jeevan Reddy has announced formation of double road between the temple shrines of Vemulawada and Kondagattu for the benefit of pilgrims in the district.
Participating in the Praja Patham programme in Nukalamarri village of Vemulawada mandal on Monday, he said that the formation of double road between two historic temple shrines would attract more pilgrims. On the plea for a library in the village, he promised to sanction a library if the villagers donate at least two guntas of land.
The Minister listed out various welfare programmes including Indiramma housing scheme, free power to farmers, four per cent interest to women SHGs, distribution of white ration cards, Jalayagnam and other schemes. Former Vemulawada Devasthanams chairman Adi Srinivas and others were also present.
Collector M. V. Satyanarayana called upon the people to utilise the Praja Patham programme for the redressal of their grievances at their doorstep in the villages.
The Collector participated in the Praja Patham programme in Durshed and Erukulla villages of Karimnagar mandal on Monday.
