Focus on ‘recession trends and the impact on the job market’

Rajahmundry: The Chaitanya Educational Group and the AP chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) jointly conducted a programme on “Career Summit” at Godavari Institute of Engineering & Technology here on Wednesday night.

The speakers and panellists spoke on “Recession trends and the impact on the job market”. They emphasised the importance of domain knowledge together with software and communication skills.

Ample opportunities

There were ample opportunities in small- scale sector particularly in the areas of civil, mechanical, agriculture and environment-based projects. They advised students not to look at only multi-national companies.

Y.Harichandra Prasad, Chairman, A.P. Chapter of Confederation of Indian Industries, P.Krishna Murthy, Director, WIPRO, Ramakrishna of Effectronics, M. Sharma, Director, Cognizant Technologies, Vasanth Kumar, Business Head, T.V-5, K.V.V. Satyanarayana Raju, Chairman, Chaitanya Educational Group, and K. Sasi Kiran Varma, Managing Director were the panellists and addressed the students on various aspects. Dr. J. S. Rao, Principal, GIET, Dr. V.V. Krishna, Principal, CIET, Dr. S.S.N. Murty, Director, GIET were also present in the summit.
