Taking his battle against former MP Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy a step further, Health Minister D. L. Ravindra Reddy will meet Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar after Sankranti and submit his resignation letter in a token of acceptance of the challenge thrown by five MLAs of Kadapa district.

The Health Minister, who represents Mydukur constituency in Kadapa district, however, put a rider to his resignation. He said on Thursday that the day on which he intends to meet the Deputy Speaker, all the five rebel Congress MLAs should also show up and submit their resignation letters.

He was responding to the challenge thrown by the five MLAs – C.Adinaryana Reddy (Jammalamadugu), G. Srikanth Reddy (Rayachoti), Amarnath Reddy (Rajampet), K.M. Kamalamma (Badvel) and K. Srinivasulu (Kodur) during the ‘Jal deeksha' protest by Mr. Jagan in New Delhi. They had offered to step down and dared the three Ministers from Kadapa to do likewise to test their popularity.

The Deputy Speaker confirmed that Dr. Reddy had telephoned him two days ago seeking an appointment to meet him.
