Minister for Health D.L. Ravindra Reddy on Friday inaugurated a training camp for farmers on growing qualitative vegetables. The camp was organised by the Horticulture Department in Mydukur MPDO office.
Farmers growing vegetables would benefit if they transported and sold the produce in the market, he said. Farmers were in disarray, but middlemen were happy, the Minister remarked. Assistant Director of Horticulture Dasaratharami Reddy urged people to buy vegetables sold in government vehicles.
A.P. Micro-Irrigation Project Director Venkateswarlu exhorted farmers to raise crops with technical knowhow. The Minister handed over two vehicles to sell vegetables, seed bags and two rotators to farmers.
