Official seeks public cooperation on the issue

HYDERABAD: City bus commuters headed for Saidabad and I.S. Sadan areas will have to cough up more to reach their destinations.

This is due to diversion of bus services taken up by the APSRTC city region via Akbarbagh in view of the flyover construction work at Nalgonda crossroads.

"Owing to the diversion, the distance of travel increases and a small rise in fare is inevitable," Regional Manager C. Panduranga Murthy said in a statement, seeking public cooperation on the matter.

Services plying towards Saidabad and I.S. Sadan from Chaderghat bridge will now be run via Akbarbagh area. They will proceed up to Chermas bus stop and then take a right turn to enter Anandbagh Colony, Akbarbagh Rotary, Chenchalguda Printing Press and continue further on the original route.

Several bus stops in and around Nalgonda crossroads have also been shifted as a result of the flyover work. The existing bus stage at Yashoda Hospital has been shifted to old bus bay at Nalgonda crossroads, suburban bus stop at Need Super Market to Chenchalguda Printing Press compound wall on Akbarbagh road, the city bus stop at Need Supermarket to old bus bay at Nalgonda crossroads (Malakpet Rice Mill) and the bus stop in front of Malakpet area hospital to Malakpet fire station.
