Principal District Judge of Visakhapatnam Nadimpalli Ramalinga Nageswara Rao has been elevated to the post of Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

He had earlier served as Principal District Judge at Vizianagaram, Nalgonda, Warangal, and Nellore before coming to Visakhapatnam.

The 59-year-old belongs to a family of lawyers from Narasaraopet in Guntur district. His father late Venkata Appa Rao had 60 years' standing at Bar while his grandfather Hanumantha Rao was also a lawyer with 50 years' standing. Mr. Nageswara Rao passed law degree at Andhra University in first class in 1972 and practised along with his father. He joined service as Junior Civil Judge in 1979, promoted to the post of Senior Civil Judge in 1988 and became District Judge in 1995.
