District Educational Officers have been asked to complete distribution of hall-tickets to students appearing for SSC examination by March 11.
In a videoconference with DEOs on Wednesday, Secretary (School Education) Sambasiva Rao asked DEOs to make foolproof arrangements for conducting the examinations that will begin on March 24. Further, he asked them to procure furniture where necessary from neighbourhood schools for making seating arrangements at the examination centres. If furniture was not available the DEOs must at least make arrangements for plastic chairs.
As usual, the DEOs would provide drinking water and emergency medical facilities at each centre. In addition to debarring candidates resorting to copying, he said action would be taken against invigilators and other personnel concerned. He asked DEOs to arrange sitting squads at each centre and also depute flying squads up to the limit permitted.
Additional Joint Collector M. Rama Rao informed the Secretary that 25 centres out of 150 identified for the examination have no furniture and also requested him to increase the sanctioned number of flying squads from nine to 14.
DEO Subba Rao, DM & HO U. Swarajya Lakshmi, Additional Superintendent of Police Y. Prem Babu and other officials were present.
