HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Thursday arrested Assistant Director of Mines and Geology department of Nellore district Ramireddy Venkata Subba Reddy on the charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Simultaneous searches conducted by officials at his houses in Nellore and Giddaluru village revealed that he owned prosperities worth over Rs. 1 crore, a press note said.

The assets included a three-storeyed building, two houses and eight house sites at Nellore, a Ford Icon car, gold ornaments weighing two kg, one motorcycle, promissory notes valued at Rs. 33 lakhs, bank balances worth Rs. 6.17 lakhs and Rs. 1.31 lakhs.

He was being produced before the Special Judge in Nellore.
