HYDERABAD: In what is considered a surprising move, Praja Rajyam leader T. Devender Goud, who has already filed his nomination for the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat, said on Monday that he would file from Ibrahimpatnam Assembly constituency too.
When contacted, he said there was nothing unusual about such a move.
It may be recalled how in the general elections of 2004, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrasekhar Rao had filed his papers from Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency and the Siddipet Assembly seat.
“There is no problem at all. I just wanted to file my papers from the Assembly too,” he said, in response to a question if he thought he faced a problem in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat.
