Hands-on learning camps open for students from class IV to XII
Playing with robots not only excites children, but also helps them pick up nuances of the technology involved and understand the concepts of physics and mathematics.
To generate the interest in robotics and sustain it among students, ThinkLABS is conducting a hands-on learning camp based on Robotics and Virtual Robotics for schoolchildren till June 6.
The camps will be held at Reliance World outlets in Kondapur, Begumpet, Banjara Hills, Kukatpally, Himayathnagar, Ameerpet and Dilsukhnagar.
“Children will learn about robotics technology and design a robot at the end of the camp,” said Gagan Goyal, CEO of ThinkLABS.
The camps will be open for students from fourth to 12th standards.
He said it has been scientifically proven that by doing and experiencing science, students develop their critical thinking skills as well as discover scientific concepts.
During the six-day camp, students will be taught everything about robotics technology.
There would be theory classes on the basics, components used, software and hardware in making a robot.
The participants would also get a components kit that includes DC motors, sensors, infrared sensors, bolts, cables and wheels.
They would spend two hours everyday learning to build and programme robots. At the end of the programme they can take home the robot they build. Participants of Robocamp would be eligible to participate in the National Robotics Competition (Tricks) apart from standing a chance to visit International institutions like NASA.
