Depression formed over East Central Bay of Bengal at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday and intensified into a deep depression over East Central Bay of Bengal and West Central Bay of Bengal. It moved west north westwards and lay centred about 650 km east south east of Visakhapatnam at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday and 550 km south east of Paradip, according to a bulletin issued by the Cyclone Warning Centre here.
It would intensify further into a cyclonic storm.
Fishermen along AP coast have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. Distant cautionary signal no. 1 was hoisted at Visakhapatnam. Distant cautionary signal no. 1 with section signal no.3 was hoisted at Gangavaram port.
