A team of medical and paramedical staff from Sri Vishnu Dental College from Bhimavaram rendered free service to the children with dental disorders from the zilla parishad high school at Madepalli and the Government Home for Boys at Sanivarapupeta on the city outskirts on Thursday.

The team organised free dental camps at both the places. The college deployed a mobile dental services van equipped with dental chairs and cleaning machines to undertake check-up.

According to Dr. Chandrasekhar, who led the team, the dentists undertook cavity restoration for 30 children, extracted decayed teeth for 10 persons and removal of scaling on teeth for over 40 inmates at the home, all free of cost.

He said over 80 per cent of the total 300 students from the zilla parishad high school at Madepalli who underwent check-up were found to be suffering from oral health disorders such as broken teeth and irregular teeth. They were all referred to the dental college at Bhimavaram for further treatment.
