The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday arrested a dental surgeon, R. Gangadhar, who was also the assistant finance officer of the district hospital at Tenali in Guntur district when he took a bribe of Rs. 40,000 from a diet contractor, T. Srinivas Rao.
Gangadhar demanded the money for processing a bill for Rs. 13.8 lakh towards diet charges of the hospital claimed by Mr. Rao, an ACB release said.
In Karimnagar district, the ACB officials caught the Village Revenue Officer of Alugunur in Thimmapur mandal, N. Venkataramana, while accepting bribe money for mutating the land of the owner, P. Mahipal Reddy.
