VISAKHAPATNAM: Children in school uniform come to the Designated Photo Lamination centre at Kamala Nehru Municipal Corporation High School every day in the hope of getting their eyes recorded by the iris camera quickly and proceed to school without delay.

But, they are being forced to miss the school for the last three or four days as their irises are not being recorded. Children are coming to the DPL centre after ration shop dealers claimed that the irises of the children of some cardholders have not been recorded properly by the computer system in the past.

Accompanied by their parents, they are even carrying their books and lunch boxes to the centre. But they are unable to go to school as only one computer is being operated to record irises of children of cardholders of 48 shops, allege BJP leaders.
