PCC president and Minister for Transport Botcha Satyanarayana has attributed the current power crisis to deficit rainfall and shortage of gas. He added that the State government is taking all steps to purchase power by spending Rs.6,300 crore to bring the State out of power crisis.
He, along with his family members, visited Sri Satyanarayana Swami temple here on Saturday.
In an informal meeting with reporters he said that the Chief Minister has given directions to implement old power tariff for the households which use below 200 units and 1.96 crore out of 2.10 crore households will be benefited by this.
He informed that white cardholders will get nine essential commodities for Rs.185 from Ugadi and two crore white cardholders will be benefited.
He added that the government is providing 26 lakh scholarships for the students uninterruptedly.
