Police personnel celebrate the festival with inmates of Police Boys Hostel
It was one of the happiest days for the poor boys staying in Police Boys Hostel in Nellore. The police personnel celebrated Deepavali with these children and shared their happiness with them.
The district police recently launched Child And Police (CAP) project in Nellore. As part of the project, the police provided accommodation for about 250 poor children staying at Bodigadi Thota.
DGP V. Dinesh Reddy inaugurated CAP during his visit to the district.
Superintendent of Police B.V. Ramana Kumar along with Deputy Superintendent of Police D. Narasimham Kishore, Circle Inspector P. Veeranjaneya Reddy, East Circle Inspector Venkateswarlu and other police visited the boys hostel in the city.
He distributed crackers, sweets and chocolates for them.
The Superintendent of Police and other staff of the Police Department served food sweets to the children and celebrated Deepavali festival by burning crackers with them.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramana Kumar said the police organised medical camp for the poor boys staying in the hostel recently.
The police would take care of their health and food and send them to schools after discussing with their parents, the Superintendent of Police said on the occasion.
