Development show to educate people from March 27 to April 6

KARIMNAGAR: The District Congress Committee will embark on its electioneering for the ensuing byelections to Karimnagar Parliament constituency and Kamalapur, Huzurabad and Medaram Assembly segments by conducting the ‘Abhivridhi baata’ (development show) from March 27 to April 6.

As a prelude to the ‘Abhivridhi baata’, DCC president T. Santosh Kumar and Zilla Parishad Chairman Arepalli Mohan conducted a preparatory meeting with all the Congress mandal and Block Congress committee presidents at the Congress Bhavan in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.

Briefing newsmen about the ‘Abhivridhi baata’, DCC president T. Santosh Kumar said that they would educate the people about the developmental works taken up during the last four years of Congress government. He said that the Mandal presidents of the party would coordinate with the ZPTC members, MPPs, MPTC members, Sarpanches and office-bearers for the successful conduct of the campaign in the villages. He said that ‘Abhivridhi baata’ would be conducted with more concentration in the constituencies which would go for byelections and also in the Assembly segments which are not represented by the Congress Legislators.

He said that they had appointed in charges for the success of ‘Abhivridhi baata’ programme in all the segments, which would go for elections. Zilla Parishad Chairman A. Mohan would be in charge of Kamalapur segment, former Legislator Bomma Venkateshwar for Huzurabad, Markfed Chairman Ponnam Prabhakar for the Medaram segment, Mayor D. Shankar for Karimnagar Assembly segment, DCCB Chairman K. Ravinder Rao for Nerella, Vemulawada temple Chairman Adi Srinivas for Sircilla and former Legislator K. Satyanarayana Goud for Choppadandi would coordinate with other local leaders for the success of ‘Abhivridhi baata’. Mr. Santosh Kumar said that the Congress party and rank were upbeat and would strive hard for the success of the party candidates in the ensuing by elections.
