The Drug Control Administration (DCA) on Tuesday launched online drug licensing system through its website http://dca.ap.nic.in.
Dubbed as DRUVA (Drug Regulatory Usage Via Automation), the online system promises to provide a slew of services in a hassle free manner to the applicants for sale licenses and existing license holders.
The website of DCA was also officially launched today.
The new services to be provided through DRUVA include issuing of unique ID number to stakeholders, online movement of inspection report, e-communication with applicants through e-talk, mail, SMS, generation of licenses online and information through e-mail, linkage with all the offices of DCA in districts and information on pendency of files visible to all the supervisory officers, a press release stated.
The new licensing system will help DCA authorities to monitor the 50,000-odd sales outlets and the ever increasing sale licenses in the State, authorities said.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) developed the online licensing system for DCAs in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
The DCA services were formally launched by Principal Secretary, Health, Medical & Family Welfare, Ajay Sawhney. Director General, DCA, B.L.Meena, Deputy Director General, NIC, Hyderabad, B.V.Sarma and others were present.
