Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha alleged that Seemandhra leaders were preventing the formation of Telangana to protect their posts and assets in Telangana. He was addressing a public meeting at Budhera in Munipally mandal of Medak district on Sunday.
“Why were Seemandhra leaders silent when the issue was mentioned in the 2004 election manifesto and the party had an alliance with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS)? Why are they raising a hue and cry now?” he asked, adding that no one can prevent the formation of a separate Telangana State.
Mr. Damodar also said that JNTU college had been sanctioned for the constituency as part of development activities taken up so far. Zaheerabad Lok Sabha member Suresh Shetkar was also present.
