Owners spending a fortune to make their cars stand out!

Even as the craze for fancy registration numbers for vehicles continues, luxury car owners are now spending lakhs of rupees to get their vehicles customised.

Right from colours to interiors, car owners are willing to splurge to make their vehicles stand out on the roads . Depending on the car model and customisation options preferred by vehicle owners, the cost for customisation ranges from Rs. 7 to Rs. 50 lakh.

“About ten car owners got their vehicles customised with us. While the cost of vehicles range from Rs. 35 lakh to over Rs. 85 lakh, the amount spent for customisation varies from Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh per vehicle,” says Rajiv M. Sanghvi, managing director, Audi Hyderabad, Olympus Motors Private Limited.

Vehicle owners have the option of getting their cars customised in terms of colour, interiors, seats, leathering, fabric, seat colour, stitching and in some cases owners prefer to have their names on the car. Customers are willing to spend crores to buy a car and companies are offering many options for customers to make their cars look even more attractive.

There can be many reasons for vehicle owners to get their vehicles customised. Once a vehicle is customised, it becomes unique and delivers a statement and this is what most vehicle owners look for, informs Mr. Sanghvi.

These days car owners are willing to spend more for accessories. Many customers spend about Rs. 1 lakh for getting alloy wheels and quality stereo in their cars, says Yeshwanth Jhabakh, managing director of Mahavir Auto that deals in Skoda and Mercedes automobiles.
