The Computer Society of India (CSI) student branch was launched at NRI institute of Technology at Agiripalli in the district on Tuesday.

CSI former chairman P. Trimurthy said the students should develop analytical thinking and update their technical skills from individual learning to group learning. They also should learn problem-solving skills in order to become a successful professional in computer technology field. “The CSI Student branch will facilitate the organisation of extra-curricular events. The events will help students upgrade their presentation and communication skills, group learning, personality development, social and soft skills. They will also get an opportunity to participate in regional and national level competitions conducted by the CSI,” he said. NRI Institute chairman Dr. R. Venkant Rao, director M.V.N. Sharma, secretary K. Sridhar and dean K. V. Sambasiva Rao were present.
