The Communist Party of India (Marxist) will hold its 23rd State conference in Khammam from February 1, 2012, to put issues concerning the people prominently on the State's political agenda.

Party general secretary Prakash Karat and Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury would be among more than 700 delegates who were expected to take part in the three-day conference to chalk out strategies to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, said party State Secretariat member Y.V. Rao, who was here in connection with the conduct of the party's Town Mahasabha.
