CPI on Monday went on a dharna at the Collector’s office demanding that cash transfer in LPG supply be deferred till linking with Aadhaar was completed 100 per cent.
The party demanded that instead of depositing only Rs.435 as advance the entire subsidy amount should be deposited at one time. Of the 8.15 lakh LPG connections, only 13.9 per cent have so far been linked to Aadhaar, the party said.
Some consumers were losing Rs.57 to Rs.61 on an LPG refill and from some Rs.224 more was being collected, CPI leaders alleged.
