The CPI district executive meeting will be held here on Saturday to take a decision on the party’s stand in the ensuing election to the posts of chairmen of the District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) and District Cooperative Marketing Society (DCMS). Announcing this at a press conference held here on Friday, CPI district secretary B Hemantha Rao said the party has bagged the president posts in four Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) on its own strength without entering into any electoral alliances in the just concluded cooperative polls.

The party has captured as many as nine vice-president posts and 71 director posts despite the “unholy” poll pacts forged by the other parties, he said.

He alleged that the “money power” was used to its hilt in the just ended cooperative polls.
