WARANGAL: The family counselling centre at the Hanamkonda Police Station is holding out some promise to couples facing stress by saving their marriage from possible separation.
Since its inception two years ago, the centre has received 587 cases for the counselling and of them, 335 cases have been settled amicably while 48 cases have been referred for legal assistance.
According to town DSP Md. Liaquat Ali Khan, as professionals are running the counselling centre, a majority of disputes can be settled amicably.
Mr. Khan said that a 191 cases were closed for various reasons. Either the respondents were not interested in getting their dispute solved affably or they had decided to stick to their stand.
The DSP explained that even cases from Khammam, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Medak, Nellore and Hyderabad were received by the family counselling centre.
