VISAKHAPATNAM: Great grand son of Sir Arthur Cotton, Robert Charles Cotton, on Wednesday garlanded the statue of his grandfather on the Civil Engineering building premises of Andhra University College of Engineering campus and laid the foundation stone for construction of additional blocks in Metallurgical wing.

‘Dedication required’

Addressing the engineering students on the occasion, Mr. Cotton said that they would be able to construct structures which could remain everlasting in the minds of the nation, if only they showed skills and worked with dedication.

Vice-Chancellor of AU Beela Satyanarayana, Registrar Prasad Reddy, Principas PSN Raju, Rajendra Prasad, T. Satyanarayana and LK Mohan Rao were present.

Mr. Cotton was also met at the university by students of Vignan Vidyalaya High School at Siripuram, led by their principal J. Srinivasa Rao and interacted with him.
