Police Commemoration Week observed

KADAPA: The services of police personnel who attained martyrdom in safeguarding the lives, honour and properties of people will be remembered forever, Kadapa Superintendent of Police D.S. Chauhan said on Monday.

The SP donated blood after inaugurating a blood donation camp as part of the Police Commemoration Week. Several policemen followed suit. Later, he flagged off a rally by civil and armed reserve policemen, home guards, NCC cadets and students from Police Parade Grounds.

Police personnel were selflessly striving for the well being of people and order in the society, Mr. Chauhan asserted. He called upon people to cooperate with the police in ensuring peace in society and boost the morale of the personnel.

The blood donation camp and an essay writing contest were organised as part of Police Commemoration Week.

Martyrs remembered
