VISAKHAPATNAM: All India Consumer Fair, organised by Handloom Handicraft Fun-fair (HHF) of Bangalore, began at Andhra University grounds beside Sivaji Park in Sivajipalem on Tuesday evening.

Talking to media persons, managing director of the show M. Rajasekhar Reddy said that the exhibition was a Dasara gift to the people of the port-cum-steel city where it was popular for organising stunning events like Sri Amarnath Yatra and Sri Vaishno Devi Yatra in the past. “We are back here and this time with a new concept in the name of consumer fair. We are arranging 23 rides, including Double Ranger, which is not available anywhere except in Ramoji Film City. There are more than 100 stalls of handloom, handicraft and food courts. The exhibition will last for as many as 53 days,” he said.

He also said that the show was the biggest of its kind in the country. The rates are kept low at Rs.10 for child and Rs.15 for adults and there is adequate parking space. The exhibition is open daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
