ADILABAD: Adilabad District Educational Officer (DEO) P.B. Narsing Rao on Monday exhorted National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers to become agents of change by spreading awareness on different aspects.

He said opening of consumer clubs at college level was a good way of causing consumer awareness.

Addressing the valedictory of the 10 day Winter special camp of the NSS unit of Nalanda Degree and Junior college at Chanda-T village near here, the DEO suggested conduct of seminars on different subjects by NSS volunteers. Such efforts would go a long way in motivating people, he opined.

College Principal K. Punna Rao, Nalanada educational society chairman D. Kishtu, village sarpanch Rajanna, NCC unit's Lt. Vijay Gopal and others participated. In all 50 volunteers including six girls from the college carried out work n levelling of the village playgrounds during the 10-day camp.
