Work on various public private partnership (PPP) projects should be taken up in earnest and the reports prepared so as to launch them, Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana has said.

He was speaking to transaction adviser of Axiknow Consultancy of Nagpur Rajendra Singh who made a presentation of its work in Punjab and Chandigarh. The firm has been appointed as the consultant by the GVMC for the PPP projects.

LED lighting, foot overbridges, footpaths, multi-level parking, desalination project, commercial complexes, modernisation of guesthouses and housing were the projects proposed at a cost of Rs.500 crore, Mr. Satyanarayana said. Calling for expression of interest and finalisation of tenders should be completed as early as possible so that work could be launched in the next two years, he said. Additional Commissioners M.
